The course is an easy walking, rolling downland course set on the slopes
of Tichborne Down which not only provides for picturesque views of the
Hampshire countryside, but also a fast , free draining course ideal for
year round play. The five difficult par3's and narrow fairways ensures
that the course is always a challenge. Stray too far from the fairway and
find that your approach shots to the small and well-guarded greens are
a test of distance and accuracy. The course has an ever growing reputation
for overall quality and presentation and the greens are slick , true and
arguably the best in Hampshire.
' this is a lovely course , beautifully tree lined and kept in mint condition
- well worth a visit' ( Bill , Yorkshire)
'This is quite a short but testing course …. Some easy holes but some of
the toughest as well. The course is in good condition throughout the year
and well worth playing.' ( Ben O'Brien , England )
' played in the depths of winter and could not fault anything about Alresford…
a good traditional test with a mixture of holes… a welcome from officials
and members as warm as has been found anywhere , utterly recommended.'
